Kids Twin House Bed with Roof & Windows - Low Loft Bed for Girls & Boys in Normal Gray & White - Perfect for Shared Bedrooms & Playrooms

Purchased for my 5 year old daughter and she loves it!It took us ages to settle on which bed to get for our little girl. While not absolutely perfect, I am very happy with this bed. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:This bed is very solid. There’s no creaking or wobbling anywhere. I feel like it is very safe and will last forever.The design is mostly very good. It’s a little tricky getting the mattress in—we’re using an 11” mattress—but manageable.The side rails are high enough to keep her from rolling out.The windows on the ends allow for access to things at the ends of the bed.The ladder can be bolted to the bed so it’s solid and safe.So much storage/play space underneath!Cons:The directions are not great. It’s hard to tell which side should face out for some of the pieces and I had to switch some things around about 4 times.There was a hole missing to attach a roof piece.One of the bolts for the rail in the front was too short, so we had to get a slightly longer one.My daughter rolls around a LOT, and she rolled out the opening once. A perfect bed for us would have a door. For now, we’ve fixed the issue by placing a storage lid cover across the opening when she’s in bed. I think I will get a piece of white paneling to put there that she can slide back and forth.A perfect (loft) bed for us would also have stairs instead of a ladder, because my daughter has low muscle tone and a ladder is still too tricky. We solved this by using her foam climbing stairs instead of the ladder. Couldn’t be much more perfect, actually, because when she fell out of bed she just rolled down her soft foam steps. It was pretty comical, it’s ok if you laugh.All in all, very happy with this bed. Even with the poor directions, I was able to put it together almost entirely by myself. I had my son help a couple times to hold larger pieces while I attached them, and my husband helped with drilling the missing hole. And my daughter LOVES it. She can’t wait to climb in at night and doesn’t want to leave it in the morning! I’m actually a little jealous.
