This isn't the cheapest option, but it is high quality.light transmission through material = 0light leakage on sides = a little ( I bought side "U-channel" option to block side light, but have not yet installed)roller mechanism and chain look to be high quality.I bought this for my livingroom, and now have bought another for my bedroom.I am very happy with these shades. I had a small hiccup with my order, but I reached out to shademonster and they fixed the situation for me. That kind of customer service is a 5 star every time for me, and on top of that I really am happy with the product. I would also rather support a local US company if I can. They have more shade options on their website if you want a different color or opacity for your shades.Only needed screws to mount the the wall. Very simple design and works exactly as expected. Got finger prints on shade while mounting, suggest wear clean gloves. Great price.Was easy to install and works great, room is now safe from the blinding morning sun and I can sleep in till 8am. We bought the light grey!I finally got someone on the phone to try to help me fix my blind. I don't know how it happened (it was in my rental house), but the chain came off the roller ball so it no longer worked. It seemed like it should be an easy fix but after talking to an extremely argumentative customer service person (surely overworked and underpaid), I was told the "clutch" of the apparatus was broken and I could buy a new one for $25 plus shipping.The blind was of heavy, sturdy quality and certainly did its job when it worked. But it was only two months old before it broke and it had had little use. Perhaps someone didn't realize it operated by chain and tried to adjust it manually. In any case, it's broken with no easy or cheap fix. And the person who fielded my call really needs a crash course in how to deal with customers and not treat them like a stupid bother. I'm ordering a new and different blind.Product is as advertised. Easy to install and works great.These are made to order and look wonderful!
